Its not as easy or obivous now just to go on vacation and lay on the beach in a tini bikini and suck up the rays.
We all know that sun is not such fun anymore, and it can do a lot of damage.
For us fanshionesta’s it could also mean the daunting aging early prosses, with blemishes and wrinkles in a much higher intensity that for those people who done their skimpy suit less readily or often, or at more senceible hours. (before 10am and after 4pm)
Even if you are not at the beach but are spending time out touring a city, or hanging in an out door cafe you should take a moment to consider what you are wearing and how you are protecting yourself from the sun, who seems not to care or to differentiate between the beach and just the general outside.
Here is some adivce that will help you protect yourself from the sun and still look great…
1. choose a nice wide brimmed hat. they can be very flattering and also protect your face neck and shoulders from the sun. You can start using hats as an accec
ory… and never leave home without one in the summer. Make sure you go for hats that are not only cute but are protective.

This might be a bit of an over kill but you get the Idea
2. cover your skin. unless you are going to be spending time indoors, don’t put on a sun dress or shorts. find long clothes that cover you up well. a light weight tunic or sarong would work. choose light weight fabric to keep you cool as well.
3. and if you are going to the beach (of course you are) here is how Coleen advises you pick a bathing suit
Let’s just say you have a bowling pin and need to slather it with sunscreen. That’s all well and good, unless the bowling pin is covered in fabric, layers, sequins, bows, frills, and hard-to-reach-crevices. I’m not saying go nude, but before you purchase that daringly holey and overly-detailed swimsuit, consider how difficult it will be to put sunscreen on once you hit the beach.
I always apply sun screen before I dress, that way I don’t have to deal with the above…
