I met a woman yesterday who is presently in rehab, but plans to be discharged to a work training / residential place to be trained to do something along the lines of a receptionist. This woman is on Medicaid at present, and her caseworker has a very small budget to buy clothing for her. She's concerned about having some career appropriate clothing to enter the training program with. I remember discussions here of a charity that caters to providing woman who are entering the workforce with appropriate clothing. I've checked google and can't find the name of the charity. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks!

And help you did! I checked out the site and printed off the page with the info regarding the affiliate in our area, which is just across the bridge. I'll take it to the rehab center with me today to give it to the woman I was talking about. She seemed so depressed yesterday, yet at the same time hopeful about the future. She's been in the rehab center for 7 months and will probably be discharged around the end of the year. She'll be so happy to get this information - thanks again!

To throw another name in the hat: the Mervyn's Foundation sponsors a program called Community Closet that does just that.
