I have read a lot of negative reviews on the Biore strips, for cleaning out clogged pores. Most reviews feel that they didn't work worth a darn! I really need to find SOMETHING that will pull out the stuff from the pores on my nose. Sorry..I know this is gross, but I have never found anything yet that truly works. When I look into my 7X magnifying mirror and see all the clogged pores, I usually gently, with my fingers wrapped in kleenex, squeeze a lot of the stuff out, but within a day or two, it is just as bad again. Does anyone have any ideas about what really works? I use 2% salisylic acid ( beta hydroxy acid )after washing my face, every night, but still those nose pores are clogged. Thanks a bunch, in advance, for any ideas! Margo

Cliniques Total Turnaround cream has worked wonders for my pores. It runs at around $30 USD but a little bit goes a LONG way. Another thing that works a treat is Queen Helenes mint Julep mask, put it just on your nose and rinse when it has dried and you should notice a huge difference immediatly. The Mint Julep mask is dirt cheap and avaliable at the drugstore.

If you want to splurge and get a facial the skin aesthetician usually does extractions. Also, a facial is really good for your skin if you go this route.

I don't think clogged pores is something you can permanently take care of. My dermatologist was laughing at the Biore Strips, he said wait three days and they'll be clogged again. I think everyone has good suggestions about what works, but it probably won't be permanent.

The Panasonic Pore cleanser is a great way to get rid of the nastiness on the nose.
There are other brands that are cheaper. However, I would recommend the Panasonic because of the warranty.
I love it, and I've had it for a year. I use it every week. It's satisfying to see all the gunk that comes out with this gadget.
It takes a couple of weeks to get the pores 'conditioned'. After that, the crap will come out like toothpaste out of your nose pores.

If you have small pores with no clogs why on earth would you want to use a pore cleanser?
I've heard that biore strips will make pores even larger. The pore cleanser is different because it doesn't irritate the skin the way biore does. It's more of a little vacuum rather than a piece of industrial strength adhesive.

That's what I expected too, but I had the oddest experience. The first time I used the Biore strips, probably about 6 years ago now, I was amazed. It pulled out SO much gunk

They changed their formula to something less adhesive. The biore strips now are pretty lame. I thought I just got a bad batch, but nope. Bummer. Because I liked the Biore strips of five years ago.

Their 'ultra' version for oily skin is a lot more similar to the original version. it adheres very well and pulls stuff out (though I'm not sure if it's as much as 5 years ago). it also smells of tea tree oil.
