If you are at all familiar with the fashion blogsphere, you will know that there are a lot of blogs out there that document the writers personal wardrobe choice for the day with little background stories to go with them.

Its a great to see how peoples sence of style evolves and how runway fashion becomes everyday  fashion for regular people.

Here are a few of the blogs that I visit often.

What I Wore today - Kasmira, the author has a great sense of style and seems to have a sassy personality to boot. I love her fashion choices and the enjoyment she gets out of wearing her clothes.

Shoe Gall is a different kind of photoblog fashion blog, it centers around a british shoe lover.

She discribes herself as a mix of Charlette and Miranda from sex in the city with Carries shoe obsession thrown in. I am not to much of a shoe freak myself, and I love seeing all of her shoes and what they do to her chosen outfit.

Strike.Match is one of my absolute favorites, the author Love’s vintage clothing and has a great sence of style and a great look as well. She does post about other things fashion related, and her blog is an interesting read with a fresh and creative perspective.

She also has a flickr stream that is very inspirational.

I do try my very best not to gossip, and also, try to limit my writing to things that I like. Or that I could see how someone else could like.

I know that taste is a subjective thing and each to his own, but still - could you please tell me what he was thinking when he put this on?

I suppose that is true, but on the other hand just the thought of always being different and never being able to blend into the background makes me tired.

People who’s work is recognized, and by recognized I mean appreciated, and bought and who’s name is renown because of their work are often wonderful to quote, as is Coco Chanel.

Fashion is Spinach posted some great quotes of Coco Chanel and I thought I would comment on them.

“Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions.“

Here here. So is all design, really.

“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”

I think that is underselling what a girl can and should be. very Twenties, not so apt for the twenty first century, just as a cigarette in a mile long filter was wonderful at the time and kinda strange now.

“Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury.”

So Simple and So true.

“Elegance does not consist in putting on a new dress.”

Ditto.

A little late but I couldn’t resist… To bad my bloging isn’t as clockwork - like as the passage of time…:-(

Although I do wear pants most of the time for practical reasons I do love wearing the way more feminine dresses and skirts, dresses of course being the way preferred girly girl garment. At one point, when I used to go out shopping, I wouldn’t think practical - I would think Love. I love this therefor I must have it. And as I said I do love a pretty dress.
Now, when practicality much higher on my priority list than love-must-have I only own one or two dresses. For the rest of my wardrobe - I try very hard to get a few quality Items that mix and match. You cant really do mix and match with dresses.
Auntie Fashion just wrote an interesting post about how fashion designers that have been designing dresses exclusively for years are finally starting to smell the coffee and behave as if they actually want to dress there clients, concentrating on mix and match skirt shirt pants.(among them Dolce & Gabana and Oscar de la Renta)
I think it is yet another sign of the times. The Jewelry world is turning to silver, the fashion designers are addressing issues more sensibly and conservatively in a way, realizing that otherwise they will look lovely on hangers in stores and nothing more.
