Who else remembers Gene Shacove, the muse for Shampoo? There is a great article about him in the August Allure. Shacove is known for created a softer hair look in the 1970s getting away from the helmet head styles of previous years. He styled Joey Heatherington's hair as well as Jill St John's. Anyway the article is a good read as is 'Homespun Heroes' which dispels many beauty myths and shares some secrets from the pros.

Pretty sure they had a Way Bandy feature a while ago (long while ago, I guess). Don't recall them doing anything on Scavullo. Starting to regret not keeping these articles. Can just imagine the home library I'd have if I did?!
Oh, Stevie...spotted a makeup book at the bookstore today: Makeup by Linda Mason. Don't recall reading anything on it before. Quickly leafed through it. Not super detailed descriptions, but very fashion forward pics. Backstage stuff. Will be getting it!!
