Hey Charlie, did I get bogus Nikes?

I scored some very cheap, and totally comfortable 'Nike's' in a color that's totally me at TJMaxx. They have the Nike symbol on them, and air on the heel, but they also have acg tags on various spots. On further scrutiny, Nike is written nowhere on the shoes . The nike symbol is probably backwards, and as I haven't worn sneakers in years, I didn't notice. I got a knockoff didn't I? Oh well, at least they are comfortable.

Look inside at the tag - under the Made in xxxx.. is usually a number like 020113 - that is the production date code - most of the fakes omit that. Also, if it's a 00, 01, 02, under the barcode should be a date. That's the production date....Again, most fakes... Sounds like you got some real shoes, though. The best 'fakes' I've seen are the A-I-R ones that looks like they copy Nike down to a real bad swoosh mark. They copy the designs, sole patterns, EVERYTHING. But it's obvious a mile away they are fakes!

Nike's brand for outdoor stuff (scaring the daylights out of all the established producers when the 800-pound gorilla came to visit and then stay).

Nike also has the Jordan Brand... the only place you find 'Nike' on that stuff is in tiny print on the box bottom.
