At least we'll get a respite from the perditious Tommy Syndrome of product branding. <grin/duck>

Don't bank on it. Tommy stuff is still going strong down here, and although the logos have shrunk, they're still here, there, and everywhere on his clothes.

Thank goodness. Maybe this trend will catch on. I loathe logos.

I don't want to shock anyone, but it won't last. Most of the designer stuff is quite frankly not good enough quality to stand on its own. I just saw that Gucci has some new leather purse that's something like $2200. Are they kidding? I'd pay maybe $200 for a Gucci leather purse. The logo is really all that's moving products at these prices. Yes, there are a few pieces that are so distinctive (various Hermes bags, for ex) that can sell for nutso prices without logos, but only because they're immediately identifiable as being what they are. Fashion may be discrete for the moment, but human nature not having fundamentally changed, logo-mania will be back. Soon.
