Recapping The Week

Cuffington Reports that Daria Werbowy, the Polish born Canadian Model celebrated her 25th birthday yesterday (the 19th). Since it is widely known that she has said she would quite modeling at 25 we can only hope that she has changed her mind, and will continue gracing the runways with her presence. Speaking of which,  All About the Pretty reports that there is no defined look for spring summer 2009. Maybe due to the economic situation classic is back and the designers are opting for more subdued looks. On the same subject of the economic situation: All The Best wonders Will Shelter Magazines Weather the Storm? Are printed magazines are becoming obsolete due to the vibrant blogsphere and many e magazines… (Personally, I shudder to think about life without the possibility to slowly turn the pages of a beautiful magazine.)  On a happier note, I was glad to read on Beauty is Within about Michael Kors SS09 collection - all stripes and polka dots black and white… and in keeping with the rest of the fashion world is keeping the look very classic. (Yay, now I can take out my black and white striped and dotted dress that I have been refusing to throw away for some 15 years…and revive it. That is if I can squeeze myself into it. :-)) The Clothes Horse posted a beautiful post - Darkly Enchanting -  about Christian Lacroix enchanting clothes, not anything I would wear myself, but a joy to behold non the less.
