(My view):

While I applaud Serena for doing something/wearing something different, I don't think this was the most flattering choice for her. She mentioned how you had to have the right sort of figure to put off an outfit like that, but unfortunately, I don't think she has it. She is a great athlete, and has an athlete's body, and definitely looks healthy. But I think this black catsuit accentuated features which are a bit uncoming, such as her large behind.

The bit about her wearing diamonds (bracelet) and a tiara - it's as if tennis is becoming a fashion show, or something. Certainly one can wear stylish things, but diamonds on a tennis court? It's about athletics, moving fast, getting around the court, etc. I used to play tennis and I can't imagine wearing items like that - wouldn't they surely get in the way? Not to mention that they might fall off/get sweaty, etc.

Just my opinion - no beginnings of a flame war, please - I just thought it was the wrong choice, for her.

I believe the bracelet is part of a promotion she was hired to do for a new line of diamond tennis bracelets. I'll look for the url or someone here may have it marked.

My personal opinion is that she has a beautiful figure. I love muscular bodies and don't care for stick figures. Someone can be thin, I just like to see some shape to the body.
