Winona Goes to Court in See-Through Frock By Matt Drudge Drudge Report October 30, 2002

Winona Ryder had trouble with her briefs at a Los Angeles court today.

The Hollywood star turned up for her shoplifting trial in a see-through party dress, shocking witnesses:

Let the evidence show:

Ryder presented to jurors how her bra is black and her panties are white.

The see-through caused a complete commotion inside of the courtroom, with one lawyer staring transfixed at Ryder's brassiere.

'What was she thinking?!' asked one observer. 'Judge Judy would have ordered her home to change in to more appropriate court attire.'

What is appropriate courtroom attire?

From the state of Missouri, here is an example:

The rule established by this Court requiring persons entering the Courtroom to wear 'Appropriate Attire' means clothing consistent with the seriousness and dignity of the judicial process. Shirts and shoes must be worn in the Courtroom, and clothing such as heavily soiled work clothing, bare-midriff outfits, shorts, cut-offs, halter tops, tank tops, undershirts, *see-through blouses,* bathing suits, lingerie, athletic uniforms, hats, helmets, theatrical costumes, face-paint, and clothing emblazoned with obscene words, images or messages contemptuous or disrespectful of the judicial process all detract from the dignity of the judicial process and are therefore prohibited.

Therefore, the Court Rules for the Municipal Divisions of the City of Lee’s Summit provide (among other things) that the above-listed clothing and modes of dress are inappropriate for persons in the Courtroom and are prohibited.

A sign shall be posted stating 'APPROPRIATE ATTIRE REQUIRED IN COURTROOM.'

It looked like a pretty regular dress to me. Unless the pictures caught it wrong or something and didn't show how it looked in person. It didn't look like 'very little make up' either. Looked like quite a bit from what I saw there...lipstick, eye make up, etc.

Whoops! I definitely see through it. The irony is, Winona probably chose it thinking it was proper and modest, but didn't realize how thin the knit fabric is. It's a pretty dress but she should wear a slip under it. I think she is trying to look TOO elegant in her courtroom attire. She's coming off as a designer junkie
